Hassan Shibly

Hassan Shibly is recognized as one of the top civil liberties attorneys in the world. Over more than a decade in the non-profit sector, he has become a globally recognized expert. Due to his expertise and leadership, CAIR-Florida has become one of the most influential American Muslim civil rights organizations. He advocated on their behalf when a person's civil rights were violated. Due to his outspokenness, he has been mentioned in news sources worldwide.

Hassan Shibly was born and raised in Damascus, the capital of Syria. At the age of four, he entered the United States. Magna Cum Laureate awarded him with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Subsequently, he attended the University at Buffalo School of Law, graduating near the top of his class while receiving numerous scholarships.

After completing law school, Hassan Shibly worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Eugene H. Nickerson in the Eastern District of New York. During his time in New York City, he rose to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CAIR-Florida, the state's largest Muslim civil rights organization. He then relocated to Tampa, Florida.
